４月１５日、当館及び日本貿易振興機構（JETRO）ブリュッセル事務所が後援する国際味覚審査機構「iTQi　日本年２０１３」のプレス公開食料品審査会がブリュッセルで開催されました。今年度は日本が主賓国。参加した片山臨時代理大使は、同機構関係者や審査員の一人である日本を代表するフレンチシェフの吉野健シェフと意見交換を行いました。５月３０日には優秀味覚賞授賞式が開催される予定です。

On 15th April, the open screening for press of "iTQi Year of Japan 2013" organized by the International Taste & Quality Institute (iTQi) was held in Brussels under the sponsorship of the Embassy of Japan and Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO). Japan is the guest of honor this year. Chargé d'Affaires ad interim Katayama participated in this event and exchanged views with the people from iTQi and Mr. Tateru Yoshino who is a French cuisine chef representing Japan and also one of the jury for the event. The Award Ceremony will take place on 30th May.

La qualità di cibi e bevande di tutto il mondo è certificata in Europa dall’istituto accreditato europeo iTQi (International Taste Quality Institute), che ha sede a Bruxelles presso la Erasmus Hogeschool University. La commissione di degustazione è costituita dai migliori sommelier europei (circa 60 membri) selezionati anno per anno in base al curriculum e alla competenza. Questo anno per la prima volta sono stati selezionati i due sommelier molisani Celeste Di Lizio e Rudy Rinaldi, rappresentanti della ASPI,  Associazione della Sommellerie Professionale Italiana.

C’era anche il braidese Renato Boglione tra i cuochi e i sommelier che hanno valutato in Belgio i 250 prodotti dell’eccellenza agroalimentare internazionale in occasione del “Superior Taste Awards”.

The new Nabob BOLD Midnight Eclipse received a stamp of quality in taste from the International Taste and Quality Institute (ITQI) Superior Taste Award, scoring two out of three stars, deeming it a "remarkable brew".
